Description

Allelopathy is a new field de science, as le term 'Allelopathy' was coined by Prof. Hans Molisch, a German Plante Physiologist en 1937. However, no standard methods are being used by various workers due to lack de compendium sur le techniques, hence, le results obtained are not easily comparable avec each others. Till now lot de allelopathy research has been done en various fields de Agricole et Plante Sciences. However, there is no compilation de various research methods used. Every scientist is conducting research en his own way. This situation has caused lot de problems to researchers working en underdeveloped/Third Monde Countries en small towns without library facilities. Therefore, to make available le standard methods pour conducting allelopathy research independently, this multi-volume book has been planned. Since allelopathy is multi-disciplinary area de research, hence, volumes have been planned pour each discipline. Prof. S.S. Narwal has planned this multi-volume Book Recherche Méthodes en Plante Sciences : Allelopathy. Its 9 volumes (Soil Analyse, Plante Protection, Plante Pathogens, 4. Plante Analyse, Volume 5. Plante Physiology, 6. Plante Biochimie, 7. Cell Diagnostics, 8. Plante Bioassays et 9. Isolation, Identification et Characterization de Allelochemicals/ Natural Products have been released. Its 3 volumes (10. Soil Allelochemicals, 11. Soil sickness et 12. Forestry/Agroforestry) are en Press. Soil Sickness is important area de research worldwide, however, little research has been done because it is complex phenomenon et caused by many factors. In past few years, soil sickness research mainly sur autotoxicity de crops et trees is being done. Hence Allelopathy Journal Published Special Issue sur soil sickness [Guest Editors: B. Politycka, Poland et J.Q. Yu, China Volume 18(1) 2006]. Till now there is only one book, A.M. Grodzinsky (1979). Allelopathy en Soil Sickness (Russian, English translated 2006). It is hoped that this book sur methodology will initiate more research sur soil sickness. Le book is divided en 2 sections: Section I. Abiotic factors, has 5 chapters (Soil sickness: Un overview, Plante Nutrients, Soil Salinity et Acidity, Soil Compaction, Soil Organic Matter), Section II. Biotic factors consists de 9 chapters (Phytotoxic Substances, Soil Microorganisms et Soil-Borne Diseases, Soil Enzymes, Insects en Agrosystems, Plante Parasitic Nematodes, Weed Études, Soil Sickness et Productivity, Morpho-anatomical changes en crops under soil sickness, Soil Sickness en Forestry). This book will serve as ready reference en le laboratory or class room et provides detailed methods pour field studies en agriculture et allied fields including allelopathy. Information provided can be used to determine le different allelochemicals en various types de Agroecosystems. It will be useful pour UG et PG students et researchers, soil scientists, biochemists, chemists et other plant science specialists. We have tried to provide appropriate methods to determine allelochemicals en soils. Le users de this book can select suitable methods, according to le available facilities.
