Nanotechnology in Polymers
Description
Polymer based nanomaterials have revolutionized the research efforts in the diverse fields and have led to the growth of the variety of functions of the polymers to more advanced high end applications. Motivated by the increasing interest in various types of polymeric materials to enhance the material properties, various types of nanomaterials and polymers are presently available, raising the possibility of tuning polymeric nanomaterials properties for specific applications by varying various reaction parameters. Polymer based materials continue to become increasingly important in numerous engineering and medical applications. Advanced synthesis techniques are the key to develop new functionality for polymers as well as nanomaterials. A number of methods make it possible to tailor the size, chemical composition, or properties of these materials based on given requirements.
