Global Interculture: Cosmic Romance of Coexistence

This book belongs to professor Kuang-Ming Wu's China-West interculture project. He has already shown China's unique world-contribution as “Time Logic” in his earlier books. We continues to explore what Chinese philosophy and comparative philosophy could offer to the globalization and suggest that globalization globally gathers many cultures. Elucidating it makes survival of us all with Mother Nature. Globalization kills all or thrives all; all depends on the sort of globalization we perform. We make seven proposals. One, interculture is not monoculture or cross-culture. Two, “culture” is the story of our mode of thinking-living as the mode of existence itself. Three, there's a paradoxical relationship between cultures— many one's make many; “one” and “many” inter-depend. Four, the “subjectivity” of culture is hard to define—“A is A, as A is not not-A” describes the rationale of interculture. Five, China and the West are cited on their interculture in differences inter-involving. Six, nature-interculture brings nature-human interculture toward human interculture. Seven, these six points come on us daily, repeatedly, recursively, to crisscross into the network of cosmic music; it is an interpiping composition of interculture natural alive, nature-human, and all-human, all quite enjoyable. China is prominently displayed in all this, in our firm conviction that the more racial and cultural, the more global and intercultural.
